Wyckoff Chamber “Shark Tank” event

The Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce has chosen 10 finalists from all "Shark Tank" submissions! Finalists will be given an opportunity to present their idea or business to compete for the 3 scholarships on Wednesday, May 27, 7:00 pm in the Ramapo High School Library. The Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce is excited to introduce an opportunity to win a college scholarship viagra sample pack. The idea behind this is to promote entrepreneurism among our high school students. The application for these scholarships will take the form similar to that of the Shark Tank television show. The applicants can be a sophomore, junior or senior from either Indian Hills or Ramapo High School, a Wyckoff resident from any private school plus in addition we will take submissions from any Chamber member’s child or employee who is also a sophomore, junior or senior in high school. Applicants can also form a team of up to 4 people and create an entity.

All applicants will submit a business idea that they believe would be a successful venture in the real world. For the application to be accepted the following criteria should be met but is not limited to:

Idea for a product or service that is unique and feasible

  1. How and where will the product be made and\or the service provided?
  2. What is the cost of manufacturing the product or for the providing of the service?
  3. Where will the product be sold or the service provided?
  4. What is the potential profit of the business?
  5. What is the growth potential of the product or service?

You may submit your ideas in any form you’d like such as a written business plan, a power point presentation or any way that you believe will get your idea across to the judges.

In addition we will also be awarding a special scholarship to the business idea that is considered the most “Green” or environmentally friendly.

 The judges will pick ten candidates to appear before them and present their ideas. At that point you will be asked to create a presentation that will help sway the judges in their decision.

The top 2, as chosen by a panel of judges, will win scholarships plus an extra one for the most “green” idea.

1st Prize $2000 for individual or team

2nd Prize $1000 for individual or team

Green Prize $500 for individual or team
