Summary Statement:
RE: ORDINANCE PROHIBITING SALE OF TOBACCO AND NICOTINE DELIVERY PRODUCTS TO PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 21 IS NOW LAW
Critical provisions for compliance include:
- No vending machine sales of tobacco or nicotine delivery products.
- Tobacco retailers shall post signs notifying customers that proof of age is required for sales of all tobacco products and nicotine delivery products (Section 84-2 C).
- Employees of tobacco retailers shall read this ordinance and the retailers shall maintain signed statements indicating that their employees have read Ordinance 1784 and shall comply with its requirements. The signed statements shall be provided upon request from the Wyckoff Police Department.
