We are an Academy of Early Education, open to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.Our school is open 6:30 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday.We will be closed only on the major holidays. Rosie Applebaum, our founder and director, has worked as an Information Technology professional for over 15 years. Her experience includes work as a certified systems engineer, technical trainer, senior systems manager, premier field engineer and educational technology consultant and educator. She is also a World Language educator, having taught Spanish as a Foreign Language to middle and high school public school students.
Her main goals, as a parent, educator and the Open Brainery director, is to help children and teenagers develop strong technical and upper-level thinking skills as well as to assist educators in the use of technology in the classroom.
And as a proud Geek Girl, she wants to do all she can to advance girls and women’s technology education and development.

The Wyckoff Family YMCA is a non-profit, social service organization which reaches out to the residents of northern Bergen County to provide services and activities which help people regardless of age, sex, race or religion to develop in spirit, mind body.
The Wyckoff Y offers two indoor pools, fitness center, collegiate-sized gym, and over 100 fitness classes per week. The Y offers quality child care for children 10 weeks through school age at various locations. Our pre-school, transitional kindergarten, before/after-school care, and summer day camp are led by caring, qualified and experienced staff.
We have comprehensive programs in Aquatics, Fitness, Sports, Theatre, and Dance that appeal to all levels and interests. We also provide extensive programming for the special needs population, teens and seniors.

Jann’s unique background as a therapist, divorced and remarried mother, and financial advisor gives her a fresh outlook on financial planning in a variety of situations. She is passionate about guiding people through the financial process regardless of age or stage in life. Jann received her bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College and her Masters in Social Work from University of Pennsylvania.

The Vander Plaat family has been in funeral service for five generations over a century.
John VanderPlaat, Sr., Founder
Because of their commitment to the community they serve, and their caring for families, the Vander Plaat Funeral Home will be around and available to assist families in their time of need for generations to come.
The first Vander Plaat Funeral Home was located in Garfield, NJ and founded in 1894 by John Vander Plaat, Sr. The family heritage of service began when John J. Vander Plaat joined his father in 1906 and they worked together until 1944, when John Sr. died. John C. Vander Plaat continued the tradition by joining the family business in 1948 upon his return from his service in the Army Air Corps.
In 1952, he and his father established the Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff, NJ where it has stood the test of time for nearly 50 years. The Garfield location was sold in 1985, after 91 years of caring, personal service and the Wyckoff location continues to carry on the same tradition.
Today, John C. Vander Plaat’s children Brenda and Linda continue the family tradition. Linda and her husband William Brock, Jr., manager of the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, LLC of Wyckoff joined in 1975. Tim Brock, son of Bill and Linda, is the fifth generation of the Vander Plaat Funeral Home family.
